Kundalini originated in India and often called 'serpent power', awakening this power can bring in profound transformation at both physical and spiritual levels. The 'serpent' resides at the base of the spine in the root chakra and once activated will work its way up through the chakras. Kundalini is a powerful force for unblocking emotional barriers and removing trauma from your life. Many people do reach a state of oneness with the universe allowing a deeper access to spiritual insights.
Kundalini activation is achieved by breathwork exercises, meditation and physical postures together with mantras and positive intentions. The ultimate goal of awakening the kundalini is to achieve union with the divine, referred to as 'samadhi'. This is a state of bliss, unity and transcendance where the individual experiences oneness with the universe. The state of consciousness can only be reached when Kundalini energy has fully risen through the chakras, activating the crown chakra at the top of the head, which is associated with spiritual enlightenment.
